Bethesda, MD: The Hearing Loss Association of America is delighted to introduce you to Jacob Landis, a 24-year old from Annapolis, Maryland, who began losing his hearing as a young boy, and who received a cochlear implant at age ten. Jacob has a dream – to ride his bike to all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums with the goal of raising $1 million for people with hearing loss who could benefit from a cochlear implant or other hearing device, but can’t afford one. HLAA Executive Director, Brenda Battat, commented, “Jacob is an inspiration to all of us and expands horizons especially for young people with hearing loss. HLAA is proud to help make his ride a tremendous success.”

Check out Jacob’s Ride to see when he will be at a stadium near you, donate to the cause, organize a ride with Jacob, and more.

Proceeds from Jacob’s Ride will benefit the following organizations:

  • The Gift of Hearing Foundation
  • Hearing Loss Association of America
  • Johns Hopkins Medicine: Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery
  • Mayo Clinic
  • J.W. Pickle Foundation
