Hidden camera catches Ind. teen texting while driving.
CENTER GROVE, Ind. –With ample amounts of technology right at a teen’s finger tips, it is easy for teenagers to stay connected around the clock and from anywhere.
FOX59 in Indianapolis decided to put this technology obsession to the test by planting hidden cameras in the car of an Indiana teenager.

The news station joined forces with Xtreme Vehicle Designs in Noblesville, Ind. to install a hidden camera in the teen’s vehicle with his father’s consent.
Over several days, the news team tracked the teen, catching him in the act of a number of distractions while driving, including checking his phone and changing the radio frequently.
All of these actions are legal under Indiana law, reported FOX59, however, that doesn’t make them safe.
According to Distraction.gov, 3,328 people were killed in distraction-affected crashes in 2012, and an estimated 421,000 people were injured.
The site also noted that 16 percent of all distracted-driving accidents involved motorists under the age of 20.
